How to rent a motorbike in Cameron Highlands and which licence you need
You need a valid motorcycle licence. Upload a photo of it once, choose 6 hours, 12 hours or a full day, and pay by FPX.
What you need
- A valid motorcycle licence: a clear photo of the front of your licence.
- The right class: a full B licence covers every motorbike. A B1 or B2 licence covers only motorbikes marked B2 licence.
- Expiry date: the licence must still be valid on the last rental day.
- Motorbike deposit: when there is one, it is paid directly to the vendor at pickup, not in the app.
Steps
- On the Explore tab choose Motorbike.
- Choose a motorbike, the rental length and the pickup time. Pickup times are 9:00 am, 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm.
- Press Book, and sign up if you have no account yet.
- Upload a photo of your licence if you have not before. You only do this once, under Profile → Motorbike licence or while booking.
- Check the price, tick your agreement and press Continue.
- Pay by FPX. The booking is confirmed at once.
- At the chosen time, collect the motorbike at the vendor's location and bring your original licence. The vendor will check it.
Rental lengths
- 6 or 12 hours: today only, when the shop offers them.
- Full day: today or a later date, and for several days if you like.
- With a homestay: when booking a homestay you can add a motorbike for full days during your stay.
Common questions
Why was my booking blocked? Usually the licence has not been uploaded, the photo could not be read, it expires before the rental ends, or its class is too low for that motorbike. The app tells you which.
Is my licence photo safe? It is stored privately. Only you, the vendor of a confirmed motorbike booking and the admin can see it.
Can I cancel? Yes. It is free within 12 hours of paying and before pickup. After pickup there is no refund.
